Well, BMF’s over for another year, but what a fantastic festival we had this year. And now we’ve had a little time to come back to earth, our thoughts are turning to 2018 and all the things we can do to fine tune the festival for next year.
For now, BMF wants to say thank you.
As you know, BMF is organised and run entirely by volunteers. But this year it seemed more people than ever gave up their time to help. Thank you to all the people taking turns on the gate, working backstage and behind the bar. Thanks to those who helped get the word out, distributing brochures and posters or putting up signs in their front gardens. Thanks to the people checking the loos were clean, to the people who picked up litter, took care of the campsite, or made breakfasts and tea and coffee. Thanks to those who helped build the festival in a couple of days, and those who stayed up most of the night and the following day to pull it down.
We are hugely grateful for all your hard work. Without you, BMF would not be possible, and all our local charities would not get the funds that benefit them so much.
We don’t yet know what the festival has raised for charity, but will let you know as soon as we do.
What a great community we live in.
Love the BMF Crew
