An amazing night ahead with legends The Pretty Things and Henry Padovani – plus local cross-genre-roots quintet La Vendore Rogue. We can’t wait!

Proposed timings for Friday 11th July
La Vendore Rogue – 7.15pm
Henry Padovani – 8.30pm
The Pretty Things – 9.45pm

The Pretty Things remain a significant force in rock and roll after more than 45 years. Their contemporary relevance, undiminished energy and commitment continue to inspire generations of artists and fans.
Guitarist Dick Taylor left The Rolling Stones to pursue a more raw level of energy with The Pretty Things, who’ve had a seminal influence on rock music. Not content with being the first ever garage band, they created a world of rock and roll attitude and ground-breaking music.
Recently, The Pretty Things have recorded two studio albums, received the first ever Mojo Hero Award, played with Bruce Springsteen at Hyde Park and headlined at the O2.

After a wild youth, Corsican Henry Padovani discovered punk and, in 1976, formed The Police with Sting and Stewart Copeland. Later, Henry joined the hugely successful ‘Wayne County and the Electric Chairs’ before forming The Flying Padovanis.
In 1984, Henry and Miles Copeland formed IRS Records and he has since performed on stage with The Police, toured with The Flying Padovanis, and co-produced a film about his life. More recently, Henry became a TV star in France as the charming, rogue, rock and roll judge in the X Factor.

LaVendore Rogue consists of ex-Hokie Joint members JoJo Burgess on vocals, British Blues Award nominee Joel Fisk, and British Blues Award winning drummer Stephen “Cupsey” Cutmore,  with Rob “Tank” Barry on bass, and Warren Lynn on keyboards.
Having recently released the home-recorded, debut EP ‘What’s the Meaning of…’ and accompanying single and music video, LaVendore Rogue have already caused quite a stir. These experienced, road-hardened musicians offer audiences a fiery blend of in-your-face, cross-genre roots music.
