Karen Sharp, Sue Richardson and Lorraine Odell, all performing with The Jazznights Trio on Thursday 6th July.

Jazz saxophonist Karen Sharp has built a successful career touring prestigious festivals and jazz clubs with her own band. She has won the tenor saxophone category at the British Jazz Awards on numerous occasions and recently performed as part of the BBC Proms season.

Since she was tipped for the top by Jazzwise Magazine, singer and trumpet player Sue Richardson has gone from strength to strength. Her most recent album, Too Cool – the Life and Music of Chet Baker’, cemented her position in the jazz world, leading to five-star reviews and sellout gigs at Ronnie Scott’s.

Larraine Odell began her career with the group CMU and has since performed with Jimpster at Ronnie Scott’s Club, with pianist Steve Lodder, and at numerous jazz festivals. She is also co-organiser of Jazznights with Roger Odell.

The Jazznights Trio is formed of Roger Odell, founder member and drummer with Shakatak, Bernie Hodgkins on bass and Simon Brown, a regular pianist at Jazznights and player in residence at the Norwich Jazz Club.

See them all in St Mary’s church from 7pm
