Hello! We wondered how we could send you all a really cool Christmas present. And we thought, why not announce the first band of 2017 – the headliner of Friday’s Blues and Rock night. And my goodness, it’s a beauty.

So here goes… We’ve only gone and booked King King!!

If you don’t know King King, you don’t know what you’re missing. They’re total blues legends. At the British Blues Awards, they won:

• BAND OF THE YEAR
• ALBUM OF THE YEAR
• MALE VOCAL OF THE YEAR
• BASS PLAYER OF THE YEAR
• DRUMMER OF THE YEAR

They are arguably Britain’s best blues band. In fact, Blues Rock Review gives them 10/10 and says, “King King are the hottest draw in British blues-rock.” And they’re stopping by on their crazy tour schedule – which is taking them pretty much everywhere at a million miles an hour – to play for us at BMF!

Glasgow-based King King are Alan Nimmo on guitar and vocals (you’ll know his brother Stevie of Stevie Nimmo Trio from BMF 2016, and you might well have heard of Nimmo Brothers); Lindsay Coulson on bass, Wayne Proctor on drums and Bob Fridzema on keys.

Seriously, don’t miss this. It will be one of the biggest events of the year.
