UK Michael Jackson

The team behind our twice sell-out Queen tribute act Rhapsody brings you the UK Michael Jackson to headline on Saturday.
With his mesmerising falsetto voice, Yvan Silva and four, highly talented musicians have united in their adoration of the unique talents of Michael Jackson to deliver one of the finest tributes to the phenomenon that was the King of Pop.

The Ashton Jones Project

“He’s got a killer voice and knows how to work a crowd” – Jeffrey Daniel, Shalamar

Ashton Jones is back by popular demand, this time with his new collaboration, The Ashton Jones Project, to bring some funk and soul to BMF 2018. With an album on the way, Ashton Jones Project have been busy supporting the Grammy Award winning Shalamar and performing in Europe, as well as selling out their own shows and festival performances across the UK.

The Kubricks

The Kubricks have supported UB40, Bad Manners, The Toasters and Buster Shuffle with their energetic live sets at venues country-wide. Their debut  EP ‘Wasters & Wannabes’ was championed by Huey Morgan (Fun Lovin’ Criminals) and since we last saw them, The Kubricks have evolved their unique blend of ska, with new album The Heist making waves across the country.

Upcoming blues-rock band Southbound has recently kicked up a storm at the Great British Rock and Blues Festival, London Pride and the Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival. Influenced by Fleetwood Max, B.B. King and Eric Clapton, Southbound offers an exclusive take on British Blues, offering a live experience that’s entertaining and mesmerising.

The Kopy Katz

“Absolutely fantastic. Brilliant band.”

Bringing some fun to BMF Saturday, The Kopy Katz are a wild, three-piece, UK rockabilly act. They add a unique, rockabilly sound to the likes of The Stray Cats and Lee Rocker, as well as 50s rockers like Eddie Cochran, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, and Elvis.

Litter of Kings

Litter of Kings combines a hunger for imaginative rhythm with the love of great songs. From the heartfelt to the surreal, Litter of Kings’ live performance will transport you to other places with a mixture of rock, blues, pop, indie and little dashes of punk and reggae.

The Vagaband

BMF 2018 is delighted to welcome Norfolk nine-piece roots rockers The Vagaband to the stage. Their take on country, folk, Celtic, jazz, blues, show tunes and classic rock creates a sound that’s familiar and yet uniquely their own. Their third album, ‘Something wicked this way comes’ is hailed as nothing less than “brilliant”.

Helen Connelly

“An edgy jazz/blues vibe with a modern spin. Easy to love.” Future Music

Tipped as “one to watch” in the Colchester press, Helen Connelly surprises audiences with her powerful, yet uniquely soulful voice. Since releasing her debut EP in 2015, she’s been busy in the studio creating and recording new songs with top producers including Ian Post and Grammy Award winning Simon Gogerly. Her new EP is called Garden Of Kisses.
