Saturday at the Bures Recreation Ground featuring Guns 2 Roses and Bon Giovi
Guns 2 Roses
Guns 2 Roses is history’s biggest Guns N’ Roses tribute! Others try, but none come close to the authenticity and charisma of this incredible six-piece act. The only GNR tribute to play live with four members of Guns N’ Roses, Guns 2 Roses is known for its powerhouse performances in top venues and festivals worldwide and is the longest running and most recognised GNR tribute in the world.
Saturday’s 80s rock night kicks off with Bon Giovi – the world’s premier look-alike and sound-alike tribute to the New Jersey rockers Bon Jovi. Formed in August 1999, Bon Giovi has toured across the UK and internationally for 18 years. Make sure you’re in the Big Top on Saturday night to witness their attention to detail as they recreate and capture Bon Jovi in every possible way.
The Long Run
This four-piece RnB rock act consists of long-term school school friends from Canvey Island, Essex. Drawing influence from a diverse number of artists, The Long Run’s members have written and recorded numerous studio albums and perform their mix of hard rock n’ roll and rhythm and blues at countless venues and festivals across the UK.
This band was our most requested return from last year’s BMF. The ultimate party band, Funk 2k have played with the likes of Olly Murs, Alexandra O’Neil and Mike Reaves, and really know how to entertain. With a mix of funk, disco, soul, pop, and a little rock ‘n’ roll in their repertoire, Funk 2k will, no doubt, get the crowd jumping once again.
Harry Slater Band
Suffolk-based guitarist Harry Slater has established a deserved virtuoso reputation at a relatively
young age. His fiery lead work and superlative tone has generated significant interest as he fronted his own outfit, Harry Slater Band. Suffolk’s answer to Eric Clapton, here’s a guitar genius in the making – not to be missed!
The four members of Mengelmoes describe their style as a unique blend of jazz, funk, alternative and indie. Whatever that translates to, it works. This quirky quartet from Norwich has had multiple plays on BBC radio, is a firm favourite at venues and festivals, and has released a debut EP – The Arendonk Re-Demos.
Take six musicians, 24 strings, some percussion and a pinch of comedy and you have a band that has given the modest ukulele a makeover for the 21st century. BMF welcomes back D’Ukes, who are quickly becoming one of the country’s top ukulele bands specialising in loud, electric, danceable music that’s guaranteed to leave you wanting more.
Hailing from west Suffolk, Beergut 100 is a five-piece band performing an eclectic mix of rock and pop tunes. Don’t miss their take on classic tracks by artists such as AC/DC, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, The Cult, Muse, Stereophonics, Kiss, ZZ Top, Van Halen, Queen and many more.
BMF 2019 is delighted to welcome to the stage this amazing three-piece rock, pop, blues and jazz act Uncommon Taste. Fred, Fin and Ben are seasoned performers, but also just happen to be the winners of B-Fest 2018. If they weren’t brilliant, they wouldn’t have won, so get onsite early to give this young act the support they deserve.
