BMF 2018 is honoured to welcome the one and only Bernie Marsden – former guitarist for Whitesnake and UFO. He co-wrote the multi-million selling hit Here I Go Again, helping to establish Whitesnake as one of the most successful live rock bands of all time. Marsden has worked alongside Robert Plant, Paul Weller, Ian Paice and Jon Lord, not to mention Ringo Starr and Zak Starkey. BB King once said, “Only two white men could play the blues: Eric Clapton and that guy from Whitesnake.” A rare treat for our Friday headliner!
“A star in the making” – BBC Radio 2
The multi award winning Laurence Jones has been heralded as ‘the next Eric Clapton’, and already boasts a European Music Award for best guitarist. As a teenager, Jones was hailed as ‘one to watch’ by the blues media, fans and guitar legends. And he’s since come of age, turning heads with his take-no-prisoners, incendiary live sets and his stunning records. Don’t miss this act!
Blues’n’Two’s is a blues duo formed of celebrated musicians Kevin Dore (bassist) and Colin Hinds (guitarist/vocalist) who are set to kick off Friday night at BMF in a way only they can. Dore has played and recorded with Les Binks, John Clarke and many more. And Hinds has worked with many famous artists including Ruby Turner, Take That. China Crisis, Paul Carrick and Toyah Wilcox.
