An integral presence on the British jazz circuit for over 60 years, British Jazz Award winner and legendary saxophonist Art Themen has recorded with the likes of Joe Cocker, Jack Bruce and even Bing Crosby.
Themen’s organ trio features organist Pete Whittaker and drummer George Double. The band, with special guest guitarist Denny Ilett, promise groove-led re-imaginings of quirky curiosities from the world of British jazz.
We couldn’t be happier to welcome these extraordinary musicians to the Bures St Mary’s Church stage on Thursday, 10th July.
